Ingredients:
- 500 grams of chicken, cut into pieces
- 2 tablespoons Anjali sesame oil
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 2 tomatoes, pureed
- 2 teaspoons ginger-garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves, chopped (for garnish)
procedure :
1. Heat Anjali sesame oil in a large pan or skillet over medium heat.
2. Add the chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.
3. Add the ginger-garlic paste and cook for a minute until the raw smell disappears.
4. Add the chicken pieces to the pan and cook until they are browned on all sides.
5. In a small bowl, mix together the turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, and salt. Add this spice mixture to the pan and mix well to coat the chicken evenly.
6. Pour in the tomato puree and stir everything together. Cook for a few minutes until the oil starts to separate from the masala.
7. Reduce the heat to low, cover the pan, and let the chicken simmer for about 20-25 minutes, or until it is cooked through and tender. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
8. Sprinkle garam masala over the chicken and mix well. Cook for another 2-3 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
9. Remove from heat and garnish with freshly chopped coriander leaves.
10. Serve hot with steamed rice, naan bread, or roti.
